I got this from an issue of Vegetarian Times when I was in college longer ago than I care to admit. It was from an article on 15 minute meals. As I recall, all of the recipes were pretty good, but I’ve since lost that issue and this is the only recipe I can remember
This is another one of those side dishes that looks beautiful on the plate next to some delicious meat and potatoes… SO simple to cook and even more tasty to eat, try them at BBQs or at dinner parties… These are also FANTASTIC to serve at your Christmas dinner table – they are essentially Christmas baubles! You CAN use shallots or white oinions but I find the red to be best as they are a little sweeter..
This recipe is simplicity itself but truly festive and delicious, real Farmhouse Cheddar cheese melted with cranberry jelly between rustic thick sliced bread. Great with a glass of spiced mulled wine at Christmas, or with a chillled Rose or Chardonnay in the summer
From The One-Dish Vegetarian by Maria Robbins. I made this for Christmas Eve, and it was enjoyed by the family — posted by Prose
A wonderful soup recipe that we have at a friend’s house on Christmas eve. It’s a group effort when we make all the chinese dishes that night, and I’ve either helped or been sort of tasked with making this recipe throughout the years. — posted by *Kathy*
